The area above the train station and around Place General de Gaulle is called Malausenna and could be a good long term Nice property investment bet as the new tramline brings what was a half hour walk to the sea front down to a speedy 6 or 7 minutes ... the developers are already there, but prices are still (relatively) low in Nice real estate terms and bargains can still be had! Just make sure you buy near a tram stop. The area perhaps lacks that "Riviera" feel (the sea breezes can't be felt here) but the apartments here are spacious and have all the bourgeois charm you usually associate with pricier neighbourhoods. |
