Buy a Nice Apartment - The PortA Nice apartment in the Port would be perfect for sailors or those investors looking for the "new Old Town"! Just round the corner from the Old Town is the Port area. Home to many of Nice's finest antique shops and lined with restaurants the port is fast becoming the next Old Town. For many property investors the rapid real estate market of the Old Town has meant they have sought value elsewhere. And with the growth of the yachting scene (with numerous yacht shows and regattas each year) and its proximity to the old town the port gives buyers more square metres for their money than the Old Town. Price for a 2 bed apartment in the port area start at 220,000 euros - but spend more and you will get more space for your money than in Old Nice. The port is not as charming nor has it got the rental potential but if you can't find what you want in the Old Town (or you are a yachtie yourself) the port is definitely worth a look.
