Nice Nightlife
As you may expect from France's 5th largest city Nice nightlife can cater for every taste. For the latest and ever changing music and theatre scene buy the weekly magazine "Semaine des Spectacles" or follow the links on Our What's On Page to the latest Nice nightlife and culture. Much of Nice's great nightlife is concentrated in or around the Old Town. Rent a Quiet Nice apartment in the Old Town.To start with let's look at the most luxurious end of the market, an evening can be spent enjoying the bar in The Negresco or for a little more glitz, how about the casino (or Moulin Rouge-style floor show) at the Palais de la Mediterranee. Both are on the Promenade des Anglais and both (for most of us) would be considered a "special occasion" type venue. The luxury and glamour is high - and so are the prices, though you can of course just play the fruit-machines or slots in the casino (bring your passport to gain entry). Let's look in a little more detail at more regular nightlife favorites in Nice: Ghost in Old Nice, is a popular lounge bar with the coolest locals.
Johnny's Wine Bar Old Nice, is a cosy and bijoux bar that has regular musicians who entertain the audience for a few euros dropped into an ice-bucket.
Paddys Old Nice, is a friendly Irish pub with good live music until late.
Waynes Old Nice, is a Nice night time regular for the younger anglophone crowd. Bar des Oiseaux Old Nice, has bags of local atmosphere and live acts. La Palousa on Rue Alphonse Karr, New Town is a large 3 floored nightclub which plays all the latest sounds.
Thor and Les Trois Diables are both on Cours Saleya, Old Nice, and provide excellent people watching opportunities. Return to Nice City Guide Page Return to Nice City Vacation Home Page Return to the Nice nightlife page. Looking for a Nice apartment for rent?
