Nice Shopping Guide: High Street FavoritesRunning North from Place Massena is the tramline and also Nice's main shopping "high street". This is Avenue Jean Medecin. The first shop you come to is the famous department store Galeries Lafayette: This is Nice's version of Harvey Nichols or Harrods. An enourmous range of clothing, homeware, cosmetics, furniture and gift ideas of the highest quality. If you continue up Ave Jean Medecin you will pass many well known international names: Zara, Virgin (and FNAC: France's own "megastore"), Habitat, H&M and many more. Halfway up the road you will find Nice Etoile - a large shopping mall with dozens of other shops inside - for all budgets.
